    Corbin Comishin

    Corbin Comishin is the principle CPA, of C. Comishin & Associates Inc, the CFO of Midpoint Holdings Ltd. and sits on the board of directors of Midpoint Holdings Ltd. Midpoint is a peer to peer currency exchange platform operating out of London UK and is currently trading on the TSXv. He is an Alumnus of the University of Calgary with a BComm in Accounting and studied under the institute of Chartered Accountants for his accounting designation. Corbin is very active in his community working on projects such as building baseball diamonds, sitting on boards and coaching. He has a wealth of experience in many aspects of business and enjoys very much helping his clients grow and succeed at their businesses. Corbin was raised in the East Kootenays and has live in the West Kootenays since 1994. Family and friends are very important part of his life.

    There are no stupid questions, so ask away,away; Corbin and his great staff with do everything possible to get you your answer. Life for Corbin revolves a lot around his work but he tries to have at least one good laugh each and every day, so smile, it’s a good start to your day.

  • Dominic Porco

    Dominic Porco


    Dominic has worked for C. Comishin & Associates Inc. since June 2000. Prior to that, Dominic held various positions including working in the accounting department for a retail store, working with clients setting up accounting software and bookkeeping, a previous local accounting office and is the Executive Director and Treasurer for a non-profit organization.

    Dominic has held a variety of positions with the firm starting as a junior accountant and working up to his current position of Accountant.  Dominic completed the Business Administration Accounting/Finance program through Selkirk College and has a Bachelor of Administrative Studies. He also participates in professional development courses annually.

    Dominic does engagement work for the firm including audit, review, compilation, personal tax, bookkeeping and accounting software guidance, IT assistance, staff training and support. A sports enthusiast, Dominic enjoys all sports from trail running, tennis, golf, softball, walking and hockey.

    Vanessa Shields


    Vanessa has worked for C. Comishin & Associates Inc. since June 2000. She has prior work experience including accounting work for the provincial government, financial institution corporate finances and as an Executive Director for a non-profit housing co-operative.

    Vanessa has held a variety of positions with us, starting as the office manager/receptionist and working her way through to her current position of Accountant. Vanessa completed the Business Administration Accounting/Finance program through Selkirk College, the Advanced Accounting certificate program through the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants of BC and participates in regular professional development courses. She works in a varied capacity for the firm including audit, review, compilation, personal tax, bookkeeping & accounting software assistance and staff training & support.

  • Elke Burns

    Elke Burns


    Elke began her career with C. Comishin & Associates Inc. in 2003. Starting at the reception area, Elke then took on several new challenges and tasks within the office in the area of administration. She holds an Office Administration Diploma from the Jack Bredin Community Institute in Edmonton AB, and has experience in bookkeeping, collections, investment tracking and for a time was the office’s Production Manager. Presently Elke has taken on the challenging role of staff accountant and is responsible for personal and corporate tax preparation.

    When not at the office, she enjoys numerous outdoor activities such as hiking, cross country skiing, reading and spending time with her family.

  • Sophie Ballam

    Sophie Ballam


    Sophie joined the C. Comishin & Associates team in 2012. She is a graduate of the Okanagan College School of Business with a certificate in Accounting and Finance and is currently enrolled in the CPA program.

    She has experience in personal and corporate tax, preparation of corporate year end documents, and tax research. When she is not focused on her career, Sophie enjoys outdoor activities and being an avid golfer, travelling throughout British Columbia on golf excursions.

  • Lindsey Reed

    Lindsey Reed


    A graduate of Montreal’s Concordia University, Lindsey Reed holds a Bachelor’s of Commerce with a major in Accounting, and is currently enrolled in the CPA program.

    Professionally, her strengths lie in bookkeeping, personal and corporate tax where she applies an approach of thoroughness, efficiency, and a positive attitude.

    Outside of work, Lindsey enthusiastically pursues outdoor activities. Cycling is a large part of her daily routine, while rock climbing, camping, and skiing are among her favorite. She also enjoys traveling, cooking, and learning new musical instruments.

    Janine Monsen


    Having come to C. Comishin & Associates in early 2015, Janine brings a Diploma in Business Information Systems. She understands the requirements for small business taxes, government paperwork and financial documentation as she is a former business owner in Nelson. With a flair for bookkeeping and an understanding of personal tax returns, she is an asset to our accounting team.

    She is a very active member of the Beasley Volunteer Fire Department and she is a first responder. Janine also is kept busy in her spare time with her young, growing family including two international students.

  • Kayle Grandy

    Kayle Grandy


    Kayle Grandy has recently joined the C. Comishin & Associates team and is looking forward to accomplishing all the work required to complete his CPA designation. He is also currently working towards a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. Kayle’s strengths include corporate year ends and tax returns, although his preferences lie with preparing not-for-profit organization financial documents and personal taxes.

    Kayle enjoys physical activity, travel and spending time with his family, when he is not studying.
